I never thought I’d be one to say it, prescription but complex agroforestry is cool.  As I’m learning about the cultures and farming habits of the tribe communities here in the north, treat I’ve found some good reads.  Check these out if you want to learn more about the context in which I’m working.

Good guide with Latin and common names of tropical vegetables. Found out that ECHO cultivates more than half of the veg found in this handy-dandy guide.

I bought the book five years ago after realizing that although I have always eaten kangkung (Ipomoea reptans or morning glory) in Toronto (found in most Chinese grocery stores), hemophilia Indonesia, Singapore and Thailand, I had no idea what it would be called in English, or it’s proper scientific name for that matter. Now I feel so much smarter when I eat morning glory.
